No single individual or organisation will need to commit either significant time or money and each can choose how they would like to contribute. We plan to put together a 'programme' of events and promote this through various channels including Keynsham Action Network social media, local press, local radio etc. We hope to encourage contributors to record what they are doing and share it using our registered Kind Keynsham hashtag #kindness_connects to show all the kindness related goings on.
Why they need our serviceContinuing our Kindness Project which began in April 2017 with a Kindness Day and was followed up by a small event in Keynsham High Street in November 2017, Keynsham Kindness Festival will aim to be lots of little free events in various venues over a number of days between 3rd & 13th November (which is International Kindness Day),loosely based on an overall theme about how kindness affects wellbeing, using 5 Ways to Wellbeing : Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Take Notice & Give.
Plan and expected resultsWe want to celebrate our kind town, involve as many people as possible and encourage everyone, whether locally or further afield. to continue to be kind and to spread kindness far and wide. Crowdmapping our hashtag will hopefully help to show the benefits and we hope also to have a short film made which can be shared via our facebook page www.facebook.com/kindkeynsham and hopefully inspire other towns to do similar activities. We will also aim to do follow up events next year.
