Team Fundraisers
Hi everyone,
Lacey will be participating in a 1K fun run at Sherdly Park, St Helens on Saturday 24th September.
The administration fees for this fundraiser will all be donated to Diabetes UK, however the sponsor money for this event will be going to our local Diabetic charity/Group WishCDG.
This small charity have made an amazing difference to mine and Lacey's lives, as well as helping many other children and parents who also have to deal with this disease on a daily basis.
The group has a parents page where we are able to gain advice from others in the same situation, and also to help those who have been recently diagnosed to come to terms with what they are facing and the struggles ahead.
The group also hosts fundraisers through the year which go towards days out for the children suffering from Diabetes, our monthly meet ups where the children all get together and also for their yearly trip to Newlands Adventure Park.
Lacey has been away twice with the group and due to these trips she begun to inject herself with confidence, something which she had never done before hand. It has also made a huge difference to Lacey finally meeting children in the same situation as herself. This has helped her to understand her condition much more and also gain more confidence in controlling the disease herself.
So please help us to raise a little money towards this amazing charity to give parents and children help and support that is needed.
