Langley Hall runs vibrant and friendly drop-in sessions for children and parents. We run activities such as stay and play and story time which are tailored to meet the needs of the community. Songs and stories promote language and listening skills and exercise and sport promote physical education and wellbeing. Day trips to farms, zoos and beaches allow families to explore further afield and to learn about the wider world. We also run informal adult education courses and parenting classes.

Why they need our service

Langley Hall is used by low income families from the local community in Bracknell, who often have English as their second language and live in homes with no gardens. Langley Hall allows children to develop language skills and to develop physically by having space to run around and play. Through activities such as messy play and story time, children become 'school-ready' and equipped to reach their full potential.

Plan and expected results

-The safe learning environment will give children the skills and experiences to get the best start at school -Children will develop physically . In a 'limbo dancing' session, a 2 year old boy with mobility problems took his first steps. -Children will develop autonomy by being allowed to chose their toys and the activities in a session, and to suggest ideas for outings and day trips. Following children's suggestions, we ran sessions on how to make health pizzas. -Improved parenting skills.
