So as you are all probably aware ... Charlie, my gorgeous cheeky 3 year old was diagnosed with non-verbal Autism 6 months ago. I struggled to accept what this meant at first, would he lead a normal life? Would he ever talk? Would he be able to be independent? But most of all, would he be happy in his life. As i got to know more about Autism i realised it isnt actually a bad thing.. its just different. I've been searching for a while for something worthwhile that i could do on behalf of Charlie for children like him. In my search for answers I came across The Collett School and the amazing work they do. I decided at that point that if Charlie needed the support of a SEN school there was no contest to where i would apply to send him. BUT they are in dire need of funding for specialist equipment etc. So here I am, on the 16th March at 6.30pm I will be taking part in a 'firewalk' at The Collett School. I hope together we can make a difference. I will upload photos and a video on my personal facebook page once the firewalk is completed but if you live nearby and want to see it for yourself - feel free to attend!
Goodluck hun!xx
