My youngest daughter was born 1 year ago, she has an extra chromosome which means she has Down Syndrome, we are lucky she has no other health issues. We found out before she was born and although it was a shock York DS Support group was there for us from the very start, not only for me but for my other daughter who has made some friends within the group. York Inspirational Kids (the other charity i am raising for) does so much for the local children with disabilities, we have been welcomed and have been included in many events that are organized for all the children within the york area which includes all the family.
I am sure i will need both these groups in the coming years for all the tips and advice from the families that have been where i am today,
