Hello everyone my sisters and I have decided to take on this challenge the month of September and jog/walk 10k each week to help raise funds and spread more awareness for huntington's disease as many of you know this is a disease that is very close to our heart our grandmother passed away with huntington's and our daddy also suffers from HD we feel as a family there is not enough awareness for HD by doing this event we hope to raise some money to help fight this disease it has already taking our granny it has left our father bed ridden at the young age of 57 and so much more. so if I can ask use to please kindly donate a little something no matter how big or small every penny will go towards finding a cure for HD.. Its already got our family don't let it get yours. I will leave a small description here for you all to read exactly how huntington's affects you HD is an inherited disease with symptoms, usually starting at mid-adulthood, causing a progressive loss of control over thoughts, feelings, behaviour, movement and communication until the person requires 24-hour care. Every child conceived naturally to a parent with HD has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease. 285 people are estimated to have Huntington’s Disease in Northern Ireland and there are approx. 5 times as many people at risk of inheritance. There is currently no cure for Huntington’s Disease. Thank you for reading..
