An annual Charity walk to help raise money and awareness for Autism.
Last Year we worked in conjunction with Autism Aware UK to raise money and awareness for the National Autistic Society and on the 1st of September 2012 a group of us walked 50k (a kilometer for every year the National Autistic Society has be established) from Alton Towers to Queen's Park, Longton and back and raised a massive £4802 for this truly fantastic charity and the many families they support.
Autism aware UK are in the process of setting up at a registered charity themselves to help support local families and groups directly and so to help support this selfless couple who delicate a huge part of their own lives to this cause we will be holding our next event to raise money for them.
This years event will be an 11 mile circular walk which will start and finish from the Ramblers Retreat in Alton and take in parts of the Churnet Valley, Staffordshire Way, Froghall and Threap & Dimmingsdale Woods.
So please donate/sponsor to this truly inspirational couple who with your support can really help make a different to those effected by autism in Staffordshire.
Thank you
