On Saturday 27 April, I will be attempting a 1.5 kilometre swimathon challenge, raising money for Bath Welcomes Refugees. I would really appreciate your sponsorship to help me support this cause!

I have been training hard with my dad, Tim, and over the course of training we have so far swam over 4Km. Last session the lifeguard finally let me swim in the proper lanes, since the regular swim for all section was overcrowded with kids, teens and families jumping in or doing flips and we would have no chance to dodge them! I go swimming every weekend, sometimes more. We have been increasing the amount of lengths we do every session. It started off as 15 lengths and has somehow crept its way up to 1Km!  In between training, I have been hearing and reading lots more about the tragic tales of those who have had to flee their homes just for safety, leaving loved ones and precious memories. I feel like these people should get a fresh new start and warm welcome, instead of being pushed away or forced to leave yet another place, so that’s why I have chosen this charity.

If you choose to sponsor me, thank you so much for your help! Remember, the money isn’t for me, it’s for them.
