We have already installed ducting to take the cabling and have upgraded the power source ready to take the new lighting. We aim for the lighting to be automated and energy-efficient.

Over the last three years we have resurfaced the driveway, levelled and resurfaced the car park, and added more parking bays with the help of our supporters. We are outside the lit area of Newmarket and it is therefore very dark at night. We need to add lighting to these areas of our site for safety purposes.

Lighting will improve the sense of safety for all those who use the Jarman Centre and make the Centre more welcoming for those coming to meetings in the evening, thus encouraging greater use during the week. The drive and car park surround the Sensory Garden on two sides and 'borrowed' lighting will enable it to be used for longer in the evenings.
