My name is Linda and i am a 67 year old fundraiser.
I am raising funds for the Neuromuscular Centre Midlands (NMC) who provide Physiotherapy, Physical Therapies, Support & Advocacy Service and care support for people with Neuromuscular Conditions including Muscular Dystrophy which causes progressive degeneration of muscle cells.
My son Kevin who is 31 has Becker Muscular Dystrophy and has been in a wheelchair for many years. Kevin uses the NMC on a regular basis for Physio and Osteopathy which helps to alleviate some of the restrictions, improves wellbeing, quality of life and longevity.
NMC relies on the generosity of people like you to run the centre day-to-day and helps them to plan for the future and improve the services for people with Muscular Dystrophy.
I will be holding an event on the 29th November 2015 doing a workout in a local swimming pool in Nuneaton. The workout will include a run - multi step and swim for 84+ pool lengths.
