Lindfield Cricket Club is one of the oldest clubs in Sussex and the junior section (the Academy) is one of the most successful and best attended. Each summer we have over 200 children practicing and playing cricket on Lindfield Common.
To facilitate the high standards and opportunities for all members, we replenish our coaching equipment every year and renew the worn out/broken equipment. we are desperately in need of a replacement bowling machine
Last season through the hard work of our volunteer coaches alongside the co-operation of all the children and parents we were incredibly lucky to be able to get a fair amount of cricket organised for our Academy members, both coaching and matches. Given the unique set of circumstance that this was delivered within (COVID) we decided NOT to charge our normal subscription or request donations.
Looking forward to this season, we are looking to take our coaching offering to the next level and to this end we have compiled a list of coaching aids to make our sessions unique and innovative. This additional equipment is on top of the standard equipment already in place which we have funding for. This list includes Bowler Targets, Fielding Practice Aids and a Tennis Ball Feeder
This year, hopefully with COVID restriction being reduced, we are looking forward to even more cricket. All sport is vital to children who have been unable to exercise, see their friends and enjoy any sporting competition. Lindfield Cricket Club Academy is determined to provide a full season of cricket matches and training in 2021 and make it the best experience possible for all our junior members. This equipment will certainly help us in achieving that aim.
Thank you for your interest and donation.
