1.To offer free confidential, non directive support to people who find themselves facing unplanned pregnancy. 2. To provide a structured 'step by step' grief recovery programme to all clients who have experienced baby loss through miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or whose baby has been taken into care. We will provide a listening and support service in our community using trained volunteers Providing help through a telephone helpline and face to face support in the community.

Why they need our service

Have you ever been facing difficult circumstances and not known which way to turn? This is the situation of many of our clients at the Willow Tree Centre. 'Katie' was in her 20s when she found out that she was pregnant, she felt alone, found our website via google and contacted us for help. An volunteer spent an hour talking to her, offering information to help her make a decision. In 2019 we have spent over 950 hours listening to women like 'Katie' who contacted us for help.

Plan and expected results

Making this service available can be life changing. Although 'Tracey' wanted a baby, pressure of circumstances and lack of support made her feel that abortion was her only choice. She was referred to us for post abortion help by her GP. Afterwards she wrote "I was in a very dark and hopeless place, your support has turned my life around in a very positive way. I can't thank you enough for giving me hope and making me feel like a human being again."
