Hello I'm doing a 10k Mud Run on Sunday 29/05/2016 (ok you can all stop laughing now) I am going to try with your help raise money for a charity that provides my Wonderful Godson Thomas and his Parents a lot of support and most importantly Fun for him and his friends.
Thomas's mom Clair has said that 'Yorda gives us a much needed completely guilt free break, as we know that whilst Thomas is with them, he is not just being well cared for but having a brilliant fun-filled time. We truly can fully relax, safe in the knowledge that Thomas gets to experience a wide range of activities with his peers'
Laura from Yorda told me:
"Every giggle is gold dust to us" It is our constant aim to ensure each and every Yorda child gets the opportunity to smile, relax and have fun. All of these are often a lot harder for children with severe learning disabilities to achieve. This is the profile of the child we strive to cater for and we work hard to help them overcome the daily hurdles which their disability presents them with . We therefore see each child's unique combination of needs as solutions waiting to be unlocked. Our whole team approach is one of the ways which contributes to making Yorda a happy place to be. We very much consider the children and their families as the key components along side our play workers in this approach. Our children who delight, amaze and challenge our perceptions of their abilities every day drive our motivation and constantly inspire us. Our children's parents are incredible. Listening to their stories of the constant battles they face push us to support them as much as we can.
We couldn't run the play and fun without donations and support from amazing people in the community. We rely on the kindness of people to keep our work going. We are very grateful to Liza for taking on a challenge and gaining sponsorship from family and friends to support her. Good Luck on Race day Liza! "
Not much more to say really. Wish me Luck! xx Thank you
