Hello everybody.
I have decided to run a half marathon in Amsterdam this October and raise money for a wonderful support group in Leeds.
Sunshine and Smiles is a support network that has recently been set up for families and carers who have a child or young person with Down Syndrome.
The group is run on an entirely voluntary basis with all of their funding coming from small grants or fundraising activities.
They have activities for children; musical instruments, tactile play, water play, painting, singing and Signing.
They are currently working towards running Speech and Language groups and also some Early Development Support groups, both of which are vital for children with Down Syndrome.
Please give generously. This is an amazing goup which a close friend of mine has benefitted greatly from.
