I’m fundraising for the Caspari Foundation. It’s a wonderful little charity, based in Islington which provides Educational psychotherapy to school age children.
Educational psychotherapy is a way of working with children who have emotional, learning and behavioural difficulties that combines teaching with therapeutic exploration of the emotional factors which may get in the way of learning. It produces real benefits in terms of childrens emotional well-being, capacity to learn and engagement with / attendance at school.
I used to work at Caspari and was lucky enough to see first hand the positive affect their therapy had on children. Almost all of these children would not have received any form emotional support had it not been for Caspari. I also know from personal experience the hugely positive impact psychological support can have on an individual and hope that Caspari can continue to support young people long into the future.
