Hi, my name is Loren and I'm a proud ambassador for a charity called Street Football Wales. Homelessness and poverty are a huge issue in todays society and needs to addressed. Street Football Wales aims to help those who are homeless, socially excluded and live in poverty by getting them engaged through the love of football. Once they are involved in the charity they then receive help from local organisations that can help them take control of their lives for the better.
Every year Street Football Wales aims to send 2 teams (1 male and 1 female) to the Homeless World Cup. Teams from around the world travel to the tournament and it is here that lives are truly changed. The sense of empowerment that comes from participating in street football helps homeless people see that they can change their lives; and the National Partner organisations give them the tools they need to do just that.
The Homeless World Cup has impacted the lives of 1 million homeless people around the globe since it began over a decade ago.
So I've decided to do my bit & help raise money to send 2 teams to the homeless world cup from Wales. I will do this by attempting to complete the National 3 peaks in just 24 hours.
Do small things. If we all do something small, we’ll change the world. This is my personal invitation, to show your support & help end homelessness and poverty.
