I am running my first half marathon on 15 October in support of Cruse Birmingham.
Before starting my training for this race, the furthest I'd ever run was 10k - I've been training since the Spring, and with less than 4 weeks to go, every weekend run is now my longest run ever! Sunday 15th October will be the first time I attempt the full 13.1 miles, and I can't pretend I'm not a little bit nervous ...
I'm raising money to contribute towards the amazing work Cruse Birmingham does to help people dealing with bereavement. There is no charge for their services and so the charity needs to find nearly £200,000 per year to maintain their range of services.
I'd be grateful for any contribution you can spare to go towards this yearly amount to help Cruse to carry out the fantastic services they provide.
If I reach my target of £250 the funds will help pay for:
- 100 people to be sent helpful leaflets
- Half a day's training for 15 volunteers
- Over 6 face to face sessions with a bereavement support volunteer
- 33% of the annual cost of updating Cruse Birmingham's children’s resources.
