Lukas and Maisie do the Xrace Challenge

Maisie and Lukas have both been a part of PDIN since it started 6 years ago as Sharon is Mum to Maisie and Grandma to Lukas. Maisie is always up for a new challenge and this year entered the XRACE with her dad intending to raise funds for PDIN. When Lukas heard about it he wanted to do it as well. Lukas is only 6 and has Cerebral Palsy but he never lets that hold him back so grandma (Sharon) and Mummy also got roped in to help hin round the course in his wheelchair.
The Xrace is a 3km race with 10 challenges to complete around the route, including tug of war, physical and mental challenges and dancing! (We have all had to learn to floss - only Maisie has mastered it!!)
Both Maisie and Lukas have been involved in fostering many many dogs over the last 6 years and have been used to child test many more. They live with 3 PDIN dogs each and both have their own PDIN dogs. Maisies is Rosie, a little jrt who is nearly blind who she adopted 5 years ago. Lukas has Bailey a mischievous shihtzu boy who he adopted nearly 2 years ago.
