I am completing the BUPA Great South Run in October to raise money for Yorda Adventures, a not for profit community organisation that works to provide play for child and young people with severe learning disabilities.
I know this is really bad timing, what with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge but I have taken part in a few charity runs in the past and not asked for any sponsorship but I am asking, I promise just this once, if you could donate any amount for this fantastic charity that I am supporting. It does the most amazing work for a lot of very ‘special’ children in Kingston. My Hannah absolutely loves going to play with all the fantastic people at Yorda Adventures whether it’s at the afterschool club, the play schemes that run during the school holidays or going on an exciting adventure holiday. They are an absolute lifeline for both us and Hannah, as they treat her like a ‘normal’ teenager.
