The Golden Friendships is a local charity based in Dalmuir, Clydebank. It was all started by 1 amazing man and now runs a variety of different clubs with the aim of ensuring that no-one in the community should be left feeling alone & isolated.
They recently bought their own premises and have been working hard refurbishing the building to make it suitable to hold events for up to 50 wheelchair users and their companions. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 fundraising has become very difficult and sadly the refurbishment project has come to a halt.
It would be great to see this work start up again soon and so I'm taking part in a sponsored walk to help raise some funds.
We'll be walking from the bandstand in Clydebank, across the Erskine Bridge and heading down to the beach before walking back to the bandstand again.
I know times are hard for lots of people at the moment but I'd be really grateful for any donations, however small, to help this great cause.
Thanks for reading. x
