On Sunday 24th October I will be taking part in the ABP Newport Wales 10k run.
This year I will be running in aid of Carers Trust Wales who are committed to improving support and services for unpaid carers across Wales.
Three in five of us will be a carer at some point in our lives and there are over 370,000 people caring unpaid in Wales. They are committed to making sure that all carers receive the recognition and support they deserve. They do this by recognising and celebrating the essential contributions carers make, raising awareness of the barriers faced by carers of all ages and working with decision makers to ensure that appropriate support is available to empower carers to live happy and fulfilling lives.

About ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10k
The ABP Newport Wales 10K will return for 2021 on Sunday 24 October, having been deferred from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 10K race adds an exciting extra dimension to the ABP Newport Wales Marathon, giving runners of all abilities the chance to be a part of one of Wales’ largest weekends of running – without having to complete the challenging marathon distance.
