We (KP & Doc) are attempting to cycle over a million meters (1000Km/625m) on two WattBikes in 50 hours. The event is in memory of Graham 'Sid' Street who died of cancer this year. During his 40+ years in the RN Sid was very much the go to guy for so many people. He played for the RN Rugby Union, was part of Portsmouth Command Field Gun, played for local rugby club Portsmouth RFC and was also a key part of the resurgence of Hampshire Rugby Union in his latter years. A member of the HMS VICTORY committee he was instrumental in arranging and coordinating various charity events onboard the most historic warship in the world. During his battle with cancer Sid raised a lot of money for Charlie's Hut and so it is fitting that we do the same in his memory. Fittingly, the event takes place at Portsmouth Rugby Club over Remembrance Weekend; you are more than welcome to come along and show your support in person!
Gutted to hear this news about Sid. Once met, never forgotten. Calm seas, clear skies and a following wind, Shipmate. Well done, all involved.
Congratulations Guys, on completing your challenge.
Huge Well Done from Portsmouth Pirates Rugby Team (U10s) What an inspiration you all are x
