SOWERBY BRIDGE CC FLOOD APPEAL
Sowerby Bridge Cricket Club has been badly damaged by the recent flooding in the Calder Valley and urgently needs funds so that they can be ready for the first match of the season in April. The club has three adult teams and a thriving junior section.The clubhouse has been devastated inside.
I am participating in a a sponsored walk organised by the club on 7th February, which starts at Jer Lane Cricket Club in Bradford (very near my home) and visits several grounds in the Halifax League, ending up around 13 miles away at Triangle,on the far side of Halifax. .
I know many of my pals are sports fans and am hoping that if many can donate a small amount I can reach my target of £150. The recent floods have caused so much damage and heartache it seemed logical to focus on one cause and try and make a difference.
