Knowing a few people that have fought in this event in previous years I tipped my hat to them and thought I could never do this. I'm far more comfortable sitting watching, cheering and boozing at these events. But this year with the event raising money for a local Mental Health charity I knew I had to take part. I have many friends and family members who have had and continually have troubles with varying degrees of mental health and I know the great work that all these local charities do to help with this. So how could I say no when asked to take part? Those of you that really know me, know that I can hardly fight sleep let alone train in a gym or fight in a boxing ring. In fact I'm sure many have not even seen me in shorts before! I'm 44 in a few weeks and feeling it, so I know this is not going to be easy. So please dig deep and throw a few quid into this great charities pot. And those of you smiling and laughing at the prospect of me being pummelled for 3 rounds you can put in double. Thank you for your kind donations in advance and I look forward to the many jovial p*** taking comments I'm sure I'll hear in the next couple of months.
Good luck malcy!
