Climbing High for The Blue Tangerine Federation
We have the pleasure of working across all the schools within the federation, and see first hand the difference this money can make to the lives, experiences and opportunities for our children.
The Blue Tangerine Federation is a Federation of Special Educational Needs in Hertfordshire, including: The Collett School in Hemel Hempstead, St Luke's School in Redbourn and Forest House Education Centre in Radlett. The Blue Tangerine Federation caters for children from the ages of 4 to 18 from all across Hertfordshire and neighbouring Counties.
Over the past few years, the schools have received significant funding cuts and are now amongst the lowest funded schools in Hertfordshire. With 92% of our Local Authority funding required for the necessary high ratio of staff, there is only 8% to provide the necessities for our school and our children. This includes toilet rolls, reading books, essential repair works and development projects. Therefore, even the necessities at our school are a fundraising issue.
Whilst we have been lucky enough to receive a lot of support from local businesses and funders, we still have a long way to go. For more information about The Blue Tangerine Federation and our current fundraising projects, please visit our website here.
Amazing colleagues doing an amazing challenge! In words of song...."ain't no mountain high enough" but this might be a bit high! Thank you so much for raising funds for our wonderful schools/children!
