Dear Manny,
You were not finished, we know that. You had so many more things that you wanted to do and see. So many more heated debates to be had. We are sad that you left now, so early. You were a big part of our lives, larger than life and we know that everyone who knew you feels the same. Wednesday nights and Sunday roasts will never be the same.
You didn't have passing friends but rather deep and lasting relationships. You had little time for small talk and were always quick with an opinion. You have touched many lives, and they stand now in testimony to your place in their lives.
You were always available for the needs of the people around you. Your friends and family knew they could talk to you, and you always held their conversation in confidence. Trust, love and loyalty, all offered and given by you with a genuine ease. You taught us all something, some more than others. If something peaked your interest, you had to find out more. The world has lost a great and inquisitive mind. You will be sorely missed.
You weren't a big fan of flowers; you thought they looked better in the ground than on the table. So, instead we're donating to Ourmala, the charity that one of your nieces has worked closely with for over five years. We know you'd agree that donating to this small independent charity will do some long term practical good.
