I'm running the London Marathon for the first time, to raise money for the Royal Docks Learning and Activity Centre, which promotes diversity by bringing together people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
The charity currently offers a wide range of activities for the local area such as early years play projects, women's support services, support for parents, over 50s social activities, community education and leisure and sports activities.
The Marathon is something I have always wanted to do but have never felt I had the level of fitness to get around the course. During the lockdown, I was more motivated to run, mainly out of boredom, and have kept this up ever since. Those that know me know how difficult this will be for me!
I'd been extremely grateful if you could support me by donating anything you can to get me around the 26.2 miles.
