On Saturday 24th June, myself and SW London's most talented grimpeurs Ollie Smith and Tim 'Tornado' Goodhew successfully cycled the height of Mt. Everest - 8,848 meters, in a single ride on Surrey's Box Hill. The ride entailed a total of 74 ascents/descents, with an elevation of over 30,000 feet at a distance of 363km.
We undertook the challenge to raise money for MAN&BOY.
Every boy needs a positive male role model in their life, and especially during childhood. This relationship is most commonly filled by their dad but when this isn’t possible, another significant man in a boy’s life could take this place.
MAN&BOY offer a number of opportunities designed to build trust and confidence between men & boys, to create strong and positive relationships in South West London and the Surrey area. Our main intention is to:
- Raise self-esteem in boys
- Support and encourage men as role models
- Empower boys to reach their full potential in school, work, and family, and to contribute positively in their local communities.
Opportunities include: Weekend camping adventures, 6-week ‘Man & Boy’ relationship skills courses and 1-2-1 mentoring for fathers.
Please show your support by giving generously - even a small donation goes a long way!
Many thanks!
