Citizens Advice is a great service in the community that helps give advice to people who can’t necessarily afford it. The sort of advice they give can be to help people struggling with debt, or who have problems with the benefit system, pressures at the work place and tenancy agreements amongst a lot of other areas. Citizens advice is an independent charity partially funded by the local authority but is under constant threat of having their funding cut. This could effect the whole community and mean that those who rely on their services so much would no longer have access to free and impartial advice and their problems could get worse as a result.
My mum works there so I see first hand all the hard work she and all the volunteers do to ensure that citizens can receive the best advice possible, for free.
I think this is an amazing charity and the community would truly suffer without it! This is why I am running the Bath Halfalf marathon for Citizens Advice.
