Mermaid swim!

On the 5 July 2018 Flamingo Chicks will be taking on the challenge of a Mermaid Swim! We'll be swimming as far as we can in an hour to raise funds for Flamingo Chicks in the beautiful setting on the Portishead outdoor lido. The event will be supported by MermaidsUK. Their team of experienced instructors will show you how to swim with a fin and you'll be provided with a Mono Fin and one of their beautiful MermaidsUK tails for the challenge. The event will take place on Thursday 5 July from 6pm till 8pm at Portishead Lido, Esplanade Road, Portishead, Bristol, BS20 7HD. We'd love family and friends to join us on the day to support those taking part! All funds raised will go to Flamingo Chicks - an inclusive ballet school where disabled children can enjoy movement alongside friends. At the same time parents and carers benefit from a vital peer to peer support network. We're passionate about volunteering with 350+ volunteers supporting our work and, our 'Agents Of Change' (school council meets campaigning body) campaign for our vision of a fair future for disabled kids, breaking down the barriers to inclusion.
