I am walking 50 km to support Fences and Frontiers, an amazing charity that aims to make London a welcoming, supportive and inspiring place for refugees and asylum seekers to live in and settle, through walking projects and cultural events. I strongly believe in the subtle power of going for a walk with someone, to explore, talk, reflect, observe, and get to know places as well as another person. Walking brings people together. London is a walker's paradise and I can't think of a better way to welcome people who need a supportive, peaceful place to start putting down roots.
This will be the longest walk I have ever done! I am aiming to raise £500 - 10 quid for every kilometre. £10 buys Oystercards for two people. If can raise the full £500, that would support Fences and Frontiers to run four full museum trips or walks.
Nice one Mila, love the charity and the idea!
Good luck Mila
