"If we can sing well together, we can live well together"
Founded in 2014, the Mixed Up Chorus unites audiences and singers through a love of music. The choir sings to bring together people of different beliefs, faiths, cultures and life experiences to promote understanding and empathy. It has performed at the Southbank, at Milton Court in the Barbican, the BBC, Admiralty House, the Scoop and Union Chapel amongst other venues. Our motto - "There are no wrong notes!"
BECOME A FRIEND:
If you would like to support the Mixed Up Chorus, you can make a monthly or one-off donation via this page. Your support goes directly to ensuring that those who would not otherwise be able to access the choir can do so, and to enabling the choir to continue its mission to bring people together across divides through music.
MEMBERS:
Together Productions invites members of the Mixed Up Chorus to make a termly donation to help cover our core costs. This helps to cover the running costs of the choir including producing materials, purchasing music, paying our musical director and management staff, editing and producing videos, venue hire, insurance and publicity. All funds are paid back directly into the running of the MUC. Donations are essential for keeping the MUC going.
Membership of the choir is free for those with Refugee / Asylum Seeker status.
The Mixed Up Chorus aims to be an inclusive group and we do not want financial circumstances to prevent anyone from taking part. Please talk to Together Productions in confidence if you wish to make alternative arrangements.
We know that we also have choir members whose financial position is more stable and who would like to do what they can to help. We welcome any contribution you are able to make to support others to participate in the choir. We have a concessions/bursary fund and anyone who wishes can include a donation to the fund to cover the cost of someone else participating on a free or subsidised place. To do this, you can either choose to give more as part of your termly donation, or make a monthly contribution to support the work of the organisation.
Levels of suggested donation for members as are follows:
£120 suggested termly donation (equivalent of £10 per session)
£60 suggested termly donation for those on low income / unwaged (equivalent of £5 per session)
£25 suggested termly donation for students/under 25s (equivalent of £2 per session)
Thank you so much for your support.
