Every year I try to accomplise something for myself, a challenge of some description. This year I have decided to have a go at climbing Mont Blanc. This is also an opportunity for me to achieve something for someone else too. I heard of Heart4Heart through a friend - Michelle Howard. So what better way to try and help someone in the local community than by helping to provide an Automated External Defibrillator.
Latest news - Unfortunatley I suffered the effects of altitude and was unable to summit Mont Blanc. However, I am delighted to be able to report that I did manage to summit and traverse the highest peak in Italy - the Grand Paradiso at just over 4000m. And also to summit the Aiguille Du Midi at 3800m. It was on this peak that 2 climbers, and their guide, tragically lost their lives in August this year.
