Happy Days promotes supported community living and social enterprise. Their key aim is to support the homeless and vulnerable (those with less chances in life) to live in safe and welcoming communities and together provide opportunities such as work experience, volunteering and support to help us prosper as a community.
Why the community needs Happy days.
They offer safe and supported accommodation within a community setting, a social enterprise schemes Happydays Cycles which raise funds for their work and offer volunteering opportunities to their residents. Their aim is to model what they do else where and develop partnerships to create more housing schemes which will help to reduce homelessness.
Their impact on the community
Happy Days currently support 25 men with supported accommodation in the local area. Over the last 12 months they have developed their housing scheme and now have 4 houses in Kirklees housing another 12 men.
