We want to erect a quiet place or hermitage in the grounds of Rehoboth providing a place and time to reflect and enjoy the beauty of God's creation all around us; where young people can feel safe and at peace in the midst of a busy, stressful life. The hermitage will also be available for retreat days and times of prayer and will be dedicated in memory of dear friends no longer with us.

Why they need our service

Nanda was close friend of the Milligan family for nearly 25 years, she came to faith in an amazing way through contact with the family and then attended St James Church, Woodley for many years before moving to Nottingham. Nanda believed in our work with children and young people who struggle with their emotions, praying for us as we ministered to them. On 20 August 2018 Nanda lost her battle with breast cancer and went to be with Jesus.

Plan and expected results

The cost of an arctic cabin similar to the one in the photo is approximately £8,000 erected on site. Once the cabin is sited and functional the space will increase our capacity for 1:1 and group work. A booking system will be set up for others to book the cabin for retreat days which will also provide an income stream to JAC.
