I DID IT! (THERE'S ME IN THE PHOTO) So it's done, but you can still donate to a brilliant cause. Have a read below:
Nottingham women’s centre is a safe space ran by women, for women. It was set up to help women achieve their aims, to become more independent and stronger.
They help women build self-confidence/independence by giving women tools to resolve issues in their lives. The centre runs regular training courses and other support services such as Rape Crisis, Women's Aid and Renew. It is a very inclusive space open to all women.
On a personal level this centre has touched me hugely. Being there for almost a year I have grown and gained so much self-confidence and love for myself, met many amazing people and made some great friends. I now volunteer there and have become very involved in projects and training courses. I will soon be starting probation-mentor training. Without this centre this wouldn’t have been possible and I would have struggled much more and I honestly do not know where I'd be.
Women’s centres across the country have been shut down due to lack of funding. We want our centre to stay open! I am doing this fire walk to support this beautiful place that touches so many lives.
Any donations will be hugely appreciated.
