Nathan & Adam are Running the Rob Burrow Marathon

Hi all!

Nathan and Adam, two best mates who shared a rugby league field for a good 20 years, are doing something that was definitely not their skill set on the pitch…. RUNNING!

We’re running our first ever marathon at the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon on the 14th May 2023,, and having originally thought we would “wing it”, we have now embarked on a training plan that has driven home how hard this challenge is going to be!

Adam is determined to finish in under 4 hours 😳
Nathan would be delighted with under 4:30, but would be OK with under 5 hours!

We are raising money for a charity local to us both, and very close to our hearts - The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, based in Skipton, whose aim is to help improve the quality of life of children suffering from difficulties, such as long-term, life threatening or limiting illnesses, disabilities, additional needs, mental health issues, or overcrowded inadequate housing, through the provision of holidays and respite breaks - a worthy cause I’m sure you’d agree.

So please, dig deep and we’ll keep you posted on our training progress and hopefully see some of you on the day cheering us on, on the sidelines!
