Walk to raise awareness of ADHD and funds for Space at the same time!
Space is a Hertfordshire based charity.
The purpose of the charity are to relieve the needs of families and carers of children or young people diagnosed or under assessment for Autism (ASC) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and related conditions in particular but not exclusively.
Why the community needs us.
We hold monthly support meetings across Hertfordshire with key representatives in the special needs field. SPACE arrange and facilitate workshops and seminars, to include but not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Sensory processing issues, Sleep issues, Behavioural issues. We host social events throughout the year, for example: a trip to an ice skating rink, trampolining, pottery painting, Paradise Wildlife Park and Stanborough Lakes, we endeavour to have exclusivity of a venue where possible.
Our impact on the community.
Improving and advancing the knowledge, understanding and skills of parents/carers who have children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum, ADHD or related conditions in order to improve outcomes and support and promote communication and collaboration. Enable families to feel part of a community, promote inclusion and not feel so isolated. Raising awareness of the issues faced by families and the support, information and services that are available to them.
