Team Fundraisers
The National Citizen Service, or NCS, is a government funded youth programme which allows teenagers to develop social skills, and allow them to support their local area. As part of our programme, we will spend two weeks as a group, planning and delivering a project that will benefit the more vulnerable members or our society.
Our chosen fund, the One Can Trust, is a food bank that is set up in High Wycombe, which donates a range of meals to those who need them. Over the next week, we will take part in various activities aimed to help raise money that we can donate.
With 12,000 children in Buckinghamshire living in poverty, and 1 in 5 children living in income poverty, there is often a decision to be made between paying a bill or buying food.
On Wednesday 6th August, our group of 14 will be taking part in a sponsored walk. We will start in Princes Risborough and finish in High Wycombe, making up a distance of approximately 10 miles.
Both, members of our group and the One Can Trust would greatly appreciate any donations towards this cause. All contributions will be used to help raise awareness of the organisation, benefiting the lives of the most vulnerable people in our local community.
