Purple Elephant started off in 2014 as a non-profit making company that organised a festival every year for the children of Frome and the surrounding area. And since then, the festival has got bigger and is much more inclusive for all children, especially those with extra sensory needs. In 2018, Purple Elephant became a registered charity and provide more services including a toy library, befriending service and small steps service which helps parents with pre-school aged children.

I am married to the lady who started this, and she puts her heart and soul into this, and I am incredibly proud of her for all she has achieved.
Me, well four and a half years ago I was just an ordinary boring office nerd who couldn't even run 1 kilometer without having to stop. My motivation is my son, who at that time said I was too old and overweight to do triathlon. This year I completed the Weymouth 70.3 Ironman, albeit without the swim due to thunderstorms.
The worst part of triathlon is the run. I hate it because it hurts. It seems madness that I have to get off my bike run, but that's the game.
So for this Bath half marathon, I intend on raising as much as I can for Purple Elephant, and also smash my own personal best of 1 hour 48 minutes and 43 seconds, which I ran in Bristol in 2022, by almost 5 minutes. My target is time is 1:44:00, My absolute minimum target for my fundraiser is £200.
If I fail to make the time 1:44:00, I'll donate £1 for every 5 seconds I miss it by.
