The doctors, nurses and support staff of the neonatal intensive care unit at BRI are used to working together as a team – so now hope to make a seamless shift from baby unit to riverbank and power their Dragon Boat to success! Hopefully no water births for us to attend at Robert’s Park so we will be able to put all our efforts into paddling the Dragon Boat and raising the maximum amount for the Lord Mayor’s appeal.
This year’s appeal is raising funds for two important charities:
• The Bradford Hospital children’s Charity funds enhancements of the core service provided by the NHS. The charity has already supported important quality improvements in the state of the art new Special Care Baby Unit at BRI and is now focussing on delivering really important enhancements to the new children’s wards currently under construction at BRI.
• The “Spread a Smile” Appeal enables small groups across the Bradford District to fulfill their dreams without having to spend too much extra time seeking the funding for worthwhile projects, events and activities which give great benefit to their communities.
We know how much the babies and children of Bradford will benefit from these two worthwhile causes and hope you will be backing us as with your donations as well as turning up on the day and cheering for our team.
Many thanks for your support
