The People's Orchestra aims to bring music to old and new audiences. Over time, it has become clear that many of these new audience members, whether they are children or adults, are unaware of what the instruments are- The Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra' was born,whereby more modern instruments are included (for example the saxophone) and alongside this, a flexible composition that allows sections of music to be added in and removed to suit the instrumentation of the performing orchestra
Why they need our service
that the composition will be designed to be flexible.Firstly, at two difficulty levels:-Lower level for orchestras and groups that play at the Grade 2/3 level- Higher level for orchestras and groups that play at the Grade 7+ level.This will allow a wide variety of groups to play and enjoy the piece, and also offer groups opportunities to stretch their abilities to play the high level piece in the future.
Plan and expected results
The composition will be preformed live at Malvern Theatres in December and made available or other groups after that.
