We would work with the EA and rangers to provide a comprehensive volunteer planting programme in South Park Lake.
Why they need our serviceSouth Park lake is feed by a stream and flows out to another park. Over many years the park has suffered varying degrees of pollution and the banks are devoid of vegeatation and there are areas of thick mud. We plan on instigating a planting programme of reeds and other natural lake plants to improve the environment for the many waterfowl and birds that are resident and visitors to the lake. We would organise volunteers with advice from the EA and Redbridge Rangers to facilitate the work.
Plan and expected resultsImprovement to lake water and environment. Added community park involvement. Increase in wildlife. Volunteering opportunities.
