For the last 20 years Gateshead CAB has been based in cramped and inaccessible premises limiting the services that we can provide for the people of Gateshead. Over the last 7 years we have worked towards funding a cost effective, fit-for-purpose, carbon neutral build that will enable us to meet increased demand. We have successfully achieved our aim with the completion of the new development in the heart of Gateshead completed by June 2011.

This building will enable the bureau:- * to consolidate its staff into one service centre * to expand its services to meet demand already in existence * to engage with the not for profit sector in the use and development of our enterprise floor * to innovate and provide greater access for individuals and groups working and living in the Borough of Gateshead and it environs

The final step of this project is the provision of additional equipment to: * Increase the number of trained volunteers to meet increased demand for services * Fit out rooms to generate activities that will provide additional income to sustain the long term provision of services to the people of Gateshead.
