Nick and Jas run Wokingham

We are running the Wokingham half marathon on 23 February 2020. This will be Nick's third half marathon, and Jas's second. Nick has set a target time of 1.45 (which would be a pb of 5mins+) and Jas is aiming for 1.54 or less (her previous pb being 1.55!). 

Home Start is a fantastic charity that helps families by providing the support and friendship their children need to flourish. Being a parent is an incredibly tough job that comes without an instruction manual, and many rely on their support network of friends and family to get through. Without this, the job becomes even more daunting and at times seemingly impossible. This is where Home Start step in, and can provide that support to families to help families grow. 

A good analogy to describe their work is ‘armbands in deep water’ - Home Start offer a lifeline to parents who feel overwhelmed and in desperate need of support, reassurance and friendship. 

We are hoping to raise money to support our local Home Start in Wokingham so they can continue helping families in the district, and are very grateful for any donations. They are aiming to help 100 families this year, an increase on the 96 from last year, so every little helps!
