Before I watched those poor Brighton Marathon runners last June I hadn't run more than a bus dash. I don't like running, it hurts. But I don't like getting old either so I figured if I want to keep looking like David (the Michelangelo statue, not Cameron) I'd probably, at the age of 43, better start doing some exercise.
In 3 weeks time I'll be running 13 miles at a pace of around 9.5 minutes a mile. I've left it this late to create a charity page as it turns out my knees don't like me running either so I'm only running once every 1 or 2 weeks once my knee recovers. I'm now fairly confident my knees will get me round so here's my charity page, running for those far less lucky in life than me.
Sussex Nightstop provides a safety net for young people who are at risk of homelessness, providing emergency accommodation in the homes of volunteers.
Oh and I'm running it with Fiona who feels the same pain but we'll get each other round and stop me running too fast like an idiotic dog that runs after cars.
Thanks for any donations.
