Nearly three years ago our beautiful son Joseph was born and he was diagnosed with Down Syndrome shortly after. It has been an amazing three years and we have had great support from family and friends and also from the wonderful Sunshine and Smiles charity. Sunshine and Smiles helped in the early days in accessing different therapies, offering friendship and helping with paperwork. They now provide Swimming and Speech and Language sessions for Joseph and his friends along with many other activities and therapies for both the older and younger children with Down Syndrome. So.... I am going to run the Leeds 10K on 8th July to try and raise some money for this fantastic charity. I haven't run further then 5k in a very, very long time so it is going to be a good challenge that hopefully I will survive ;o).
