I started running in 2011, I wasn't very good at it but over time I have run a couple of half marathons. The vision of Collett School, the energy and dedication of the staff and pupils is inspirational and I thought what can I do? Run St Albans Half Marathon and see what I could raise to help their very worthy cause - The Collett School - Special Educational Needs. My friend and running buddy agreed to run as well - we both have children with Special educational needs who attend mainstream school but we do have an insight as to challenges experienced by those who need extra support, often in those areas the rest of us take for granted.
