There are lots of demands on charities these days, and lots of people do great things for charity and we all do our best to support with donations.
I want to take a different approach. I am going to stop drinking for October and I will be donating the money I would have otherwise spent on alcohol to Stepping Stones.  I also ask that my colleagues, family and friends buy me a virtual drink by adding a drink or two to the kitty for Stepping stones.

Stepping Stones are a charity who help young nursery age children who have special needs. They rely entirely on donations and charitable support.
My Son Lucas is Autistic and has global development delay.  Lucas attended Stepping stones at a time when we were still learning about Lucas's challenges and trying to understand how best to support him.
Debbie and the team at Stepping Stones, helped us seek and put in place the required support structures.  They helped us track and understand Lucas and his challenges better and provided an environment which he could thrive within.
The care and support they provided was tailored for Lucas as an individual.

Stepping Stones helped us as Parents, but more importantly they provided an environment which enabled Lucas to experience Nursery / School and prepared him for the transition to his special School which he loves attending.

The Money You donate will be entirely directed to help Stepping Stones build a garden which has artificial grass for all year round use, equipment and infrastructure for fun and learning.  It will give the children a safe, secure and stimulating environment to enjoy the outdoors.
