The Northumberland coastal path (3 days)
I am raising money, along with my good friend Mark Fox, for an amazing local charity in Leeds called ‘Sunshine and Smiles’. This is a support group for children and young people with Down Syndrome. This is a charity very close to my heart because my son Luke has the condition. We have chosen to walk the Northumberland coastal path, which is 63 miles in length, in 3 days. The group provide lots of activities like speech and language therapy sessions, one to one support for families (e.g. for new parents and for those wishing to make EHCP applications) and things that help with mobility and cognition like swimming, dance and football lessons. They also create opportunities for young adults like organising work experience and even set up a cafe for a week that was run by young people with the condition. They also promote awareness of the positive impact that children and young people with Down Syndrome have on people, families and the wider community. With your help, the group can continue to help improving the life of people with Down Syndrome.

I hope that you raise lots of money for such a worthwhile cause. Sunshine and Smiles does so much for the children and young people in the area.
